Is May Next

Theresa May has accepted the resignation of Amber Rudd as Home Secretary, Downing Street has said.

Ms Rudd, who had been under pressure over the Windrush scandal and deportation targets for illegal immigrants, telephoned the Prime Minister to tell her of her decision.

She was accused of misleading Parliament over the targets, having told MPs earlier this week that her department did not have such measures, before admitting they did exist but she was not aware of them.

Parking in Chalton Street

Over the last few months, a significant number of parking tickets have been issued by Camden Council to Chalton’ street business owners and residents who have a permit to park their vehicles on the street. Particularly on Wednesdays and Thursdays as per the parking signs showing that the market is taking place. The market is never taking place on Wednesdays or Thursdays, only on Fridays. As business members of the Sommers Town Association of Businesses and Organisations (STABO) we are launching this petition to Camden council to review their parking strategy as per the Traffic Management Act 2004, to allow parking as usual on Wednesdays and Thursdays for the best interest of businesses, residents and visitors’ road users.

SomersTown Big Local

Today there was an event held on Chalton street in relation to the BIG LOCAL for somerstown, I attended on behalf of our association and made a few comments, we are meeting the head of BIG local in Jan 2016 so our members will be able to understand and give their views for the local area.
